A truly simple, yet great, idea. I wonder, though, about implementation. You should see the cup BEFORE paying for your order. Many places ask customer to pay upon placing order. How did this work at Tom and Serg’s place?
Hey Matthew, thanks for the comment. Cups are positioned so that customers don’t see them, or see the bottoms. And in most cases, not even the barista is aware which ones are marked. So customer orders as usual, and enjoys the moment when they find out this one’s free.
